
Please read through the following Notes before submitting
materials for publication. Materials not conforming to the specifications
will be returned without comment.
Word processing Packages
Please use either Word, WordPerfect, or Rich text Format. The journal
is published in .pdf format (Portable Document Format) and all materials
will be converted to .pdf. There are future plans to archive journal
contents in both Word and WordPerfect formats.
Length
Submissions can be between 500 - 6000 words. Multi-part submissions
will be considered upon request; however, each part should be independently
intelligible. A word count should be specified at the end of the document.
Title
A title of not more than 10 words is required.
Abstract
All submissions must be accompanied with a 200 word abstract. This
should be an accurate report of the main arguments and conclusions.
The Abstract must also be accompanied by two lists;
- a list of up to 10 key words words which are central to
the submission
- a list of up to 10 key authors used or referred to in the
submission
The requirement is important as these will be used
to add all submissions to the on-line searchable resource database.
Autobiographical Details
Authors must provide a short biographical description. An e-mail address
must also be provided.
Headings, Subheadings, Dividers
The use of headings, subheadings, or other ways of dividing and organising
material should be used sparingly. Headings and Subheadings are preferred
to the use of numerical breaks. Headings should appear in bold and be
underlined; subheadings should be underlined and in italics.
Footnotes
Footnotes are to used sparingly; their main purpose is to provide sources
of quotations and reference to significant texts/materials/Internet
sources. They are not to be used for discussion purposes.
References
References should conform to Harvard style. Full biographical details
and non-abbreviated journal titles are required. Please follow the MLA
handbook for further details.
References which contain URL's are preferred; please
check to ensure that links are 'live'; the editors accept no responsibility
for dead links.
Tables and Diagrams
The use of tables and diagrams are welcome, but must actively contribute
to the understanding of the point or argument being advanced. They should
be numbered and accompanied by a brief caption.
Line Drawings, Photos, Illustrations
The use of Line drawings, photos and other illustrations are welcome.
It is the responsibility of the author to obtain copyright permission
for the use of art or multimedia materials. Proof of copyright permission
is required and must accompany the submission.
