Perspectives on Evil and Human Wickedness is an At The Interface project. 'At the Interface' projects are are designed to challenge and explore topics which cross the boundaries of individual disciplines, subjects, professions and vocations and engage with issues and ideas from a wide variety of differing perspectives. They seek to promote inter- and multi-disciplinary dialogue and enable creative thinking across a wide range of areas. Not restricted to the academic arena, they invite people working within NGO's, charities, industry, and other areas to share their perspectives as part of the dialogue.

Perspectives on Evil and Human Wickedness is an innovative global discussion forum established to further understanding, facilitate exchanges, and encourage informed debate on world-wide issues and trends related to evil and suffering. The journal promotes cutting edge research and reflection through the deliberate policy of engaging in inter- and multi-disciplinary perspectives and communicating in language which is clear and accessible. Editions will contain, among other things, articles, review features, reflective practitioner and vocational models, along with stop-and-go reflection exercises which combine historical and contemporary research.

The e-journal will be of interest to those who are engaged in

  • anthropology, criminology, cultural studies, legal studies, literature, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and theology
  • the caring professions, the media, prison services, politics, psychiatry and other work-related and vocational areas
  • religious leaders and members of religious traditions
  • people who are interested in exploring and reflecting upon their own experiences

Perspectives on Evil and Human Wickedness is released twice a year on the 1st January and 1st July. Back issues will be archived on the Wickedness.Net website. For the immediate future, the journal will be a free public access publication.
